With more than a million operating in India alone, and more in Pakistan, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia and Kenya, rickshaws are a major cause of urban air pollution and contribute to climate change.
PLAN 545: CLIMATE ADAPTATION, ECOSYSTEM SERVICES & WATERSHED MANAGEMENT IN COSTA RICA
In May 2010 a group of students from the RMES program took part in PLAN 545.
This course takes place in Latin America’s oldest and most important tropical forest
and agriculture research centre, CATIE.
